DRFC Reading v Doncaster Form Guide

DRFC Reading v Doncaster Form Guide

Vital Doncaster looks at the form of both Reading and Doncaster Rovers going into their encounter at the Madejski Stadium on Saturday.

Reading

Last seasons beaten play off finalists have made a poor start to the championship season, winning just one of their opening six games of the season.

Reading drew at home against Millwall 2-2 on the opening day before travelling to big spending Leicester City the following weekend and coming away with all three points in a 2-0 win.

Since then they have failed to claim a point from their next four championship games and they have also been knocked out of the Carling Cup at League One Charlton Athletic.

They have played three times at home so far this season, starting with the draw against Millwall.

Since then they have been beaten 2-1 by Barnsley and in their last game, they were defeated 2-0 by Watford.

Reading are currently in 23rd place with four points from six games.

Doncaster Rovers
Rovers have made a poor start to the season and have now gone eighteen championship games, stretching back to March 1st since their last win in the division.

They are now just three games away from equalling their worst ever run without a win in their long history, which was set in the ill-fated season of 1997/98 when they went out of the Football League.

Rovers have yet to pick up a point in their three championship games on the road this season.

They lost on the opening day, 2-1 at Brighton and have also been beaten 3-0 at Derby and 2-0 at Cardiff in their last league game last Saturday.

Rovers have lost five of their six championship games so far this season, picking up a solitary point in a 1-1 home draw with Bristol City.

They are currently bottom of the championship, three points behind Saturday`s opponents who are just one place above them.

Championship Form: LLLLDL
