DRFC Youngster on international duty

On loan midfielder Milan Lalkovic will be on international duty with Slovakia next week.

Lalkovic, on loan from Chelsea has once again been included in the Slovakian under 21 squad for their Euro 2013 qualifier against Latvia on October 11th.

The attacking midfielder played the full 90 minutes in last month`s qualifier for Slovakia, in their 1-0 win against Kazakhstan, during his first month at the Keepmoat.

Slovakia are currently top of group 9 with maximum points from their opening two games with wins over Kazakhstan and Latvia.

Lalkovic will be hoping to help Slovakia to victory before tough games against France and Romania.

The 20 year old recently extended his loan into a second month, keeping him at the Keepmoat until after the Portsmouth game on October 22nd.

Lalkovic has made six appearances since his arrival, making one start and five substitute appearances.

He has been in fine form in behind closed doors friendlies with Rovers, with three goals in two games against Grimsby and Chesterfield recently.
