DRFC Defender joins Matlock

DRFC Defender joins Matlock

Doncaster Rovers defender Oscar Radford has joined non-league side Matlock Town on loan.

The defender signed for Rovers on a short-term deal in the summer after a successful trial at the club but he has failed to break into the side despite their poor start to the season.

He has joined up with former Rovers player Mark Atkins who is now the manager of Matlock in the Northern Premier League.

The former Ferencvaros player was involved for Rovers in their friendly win at Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday before joining the Derbyshire club.

Radford made his debut for Matlock on Saturday in their 4-0 home win over league leaders Chorley.

Saunders must have looked at him at Sheffield Wednesday in the week and cann;t see him breaking into the side now. He's not managed it already this season, even when results weren't going right.
