DRFC Blackpool v Doncaster Head To Head

Doncaster Rovers make the trip to Blackpool on Tuesday night and we look back at their record at Bloomfield Road over the years.

Tuesday will be the twentieth meeting between the two sides. In the previous nineteen, Blackpool have won fourteen, Doncaster one and there have been four draws.

The first ever meeting between the two sides came during the 1901/02 season when Blackpool won a Second Division encounter 3-1.

Doncaster had to wait until their fifth visit during the 1936/37 season to claim their first point in a 1-1 draw.

Their only ever victory at Bloomfield Road came during the 2008/09 season when they returned to the Keepmoat with a 3-2 win thanks to goals from Brian Stock, Sam Hird and James Coppinger.

The clubs last met during the 2009/10 season when Blackpool won 2-0 on Easter Monday, as the Tangerines continued their pursuit of a play off place that ultimately saw them clinch a place in the Premier League.

Strange stat:
This will be the ninth none Saturday fixture between the pair at Bloofield Road out of the last thirteen.
