DRFC Striker returns to bluebirds

Striker Jon Parkin has returned to Cardiff City at the end of his month on loan with Doncaster Rovers.

Parkin was signed by former manager Sean O`Driscoll just days before his departure from the Keepmoat.

The striker started the first four of Rovers games during his loan spell but he was forced to miss last Tuesday`s game at Blackpool through illness.

He returned to the squad for the weekend game at Portsmouth, making an appearance from the substitute`s bench.

Rovers managed to win two and draw one from his four starts during his stay.

He failed to score during his stay but he was unfortunate not to get on the score sheet for Rovers, when his shot from the edge of the area at Peterborough United appeared to cross the line after hitting the underside of the crossbar but no goal was awarded.

Maybe we can go back to playing football rather than hoofball now he's gone.

We need that physcal character in the box, he compliments King Billy. But let's face it, if we don't pull our thumb out then the better players will get auctioned of and it will be "destination Championship" for another 5 years.
