DRFC New deal for veteran goalkeeper
Veteran goalkeeper Neil Sullivan is set to sign a new contract with Doncaster Rovers.
The 41 year old signed a new one-year deal in the summer and he is all set to sign a new contract with the club according to his new manager Dean Saunders. 'He's about to (sign a new contract), but I agreed that with him before Chris Kirkland came in,' explained Saunders.
Sullivan started the season on the bench behind Gary Woods but he reclaimed his place in the defeat at Reading.
Chris Kirkland replaced him in goal after signing on loan from Wigan Athletic but he suffered a back injury on his debut against Leeds United and returned to Wigan.
Sullivan returned to the side at Blackpool and he has made six appearances this season.
The goalkeeper has a wealth of experience having played at the top level with Wimbledon, Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Scotland.
Sullivan had been an almost ever present at the Keepmoat since originally signing on loan from Leeds United during the 2006/07 season and he has now made over 200 first team appearances.
