DRFC Cardiff turn down Parkin loan

DRFC Cardiff turn down Parkin loan

Doncaster Rovers manager Dean Saunders says he tried to bring Jon Parkin back to the club.

Parkin originally signed for former manager Sean O`Driscoll on a month`s loan from Cardiff City in the week of his departure.

Saunders was keen to bring the striker back to the Keepmoat after Parkin returned to Cardiff after the game at Portsmouth last week.

Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Saunders said, "I made an offer to Cardiff to take him until the January transfer window but it was turned down by Cardiff."

Parkin made five appearances during his month at the Keepmoat but failed to score.

Me too. Wouldn't think there's much demand for strikers who can't score goals.
