DRFC Stock on Wales standby

Doncaster Rovers midfielder Brian Stock has been placed on standby for the Wales squad for their friendly with Norway next Saturday.

Stock hasn`t featured for boss Gary Speed since he took over the reigns for Wales last season.

The midfielder has represented Wales on three occasions so far. He made his debut against Russia in a World Cup qualifier at the Millennium stadium in September 2009.
His second cap against Croatia the following May. He hasn`t played for Wales since playing in the friendly with Luxembourg in August 2010.

Stock is one of nine players placed on standby for the 24-man squad.

Wales have already had four players withdraw through injury, although only two players from the standby list have been called up.

From a selfish Rovers point of view I hope he doesn't play. He still seems to pick up injuries too often.
