DRFC Saunders hoping to keep players
Doncaster Rovers boss Dean Saunders is hoping to keep some of the big name players coming into the club past their short-term contracts.
Rovers have set up a deal with football agent Willie McKay.
McKay is bringing high profile players into the club, who are currently struggling for first team football elsewhere. They are signing for Rovers on short-term deals in a hope to put themselves in the shop window for a move to a more high profile club.
The club have already seen the vastly experienced Pascal Chimbonda and El Hadji Diouf sign deals keeping them at the Keepmoat until January and Saunders is hopeful that some of the players come into the squad will stay around. Speaking on Sky Sports, Saunders said, "The fans need a team, they need people to relate to.
"We don`t just want people coming in and leaving within five minutes, hopefully we can keep some of these players."
The deal with McKay was set up last month after Rovers put the arrangement into writing with the FA who ratified the agreement.
