DRFC Former loan striker back in Yorkshire

DRFC Former loan striker back in Yorkshire

Jon Parkin has joined fellow Yorkshire side Huddersfield Town on loan from Cardiff City.

Parkin spent a month on loan with Doncaster Rovers earlier in the season making five appearances and Doncaster boss Dean Saunders was keen to bring the striker back to the Keepmoat.

Saunders made an offer to Cardiff to take the striker on loan until January but it was turned down by the South Wales club.

He failed to score during his stay but he was unfortunate not to get on the score sheet for Rovers, when his shot from the edge of the area at Peterborough United appeared to cross the line after hitting the underside of the crossbar but no goal was awarded.

Parkin will stay with Huddersfield until January 22nd.

Huddersfield obviously offered to pay more of his wages than Rovers were willing to.

Not played in the Premier League, doesn't fit Rovers criteria anymore! ;-)
