DRFC Saunders - I've just started on the squad

Doncaster Rovers boss Dean Saunders says he has only just started with the rebuilding of his squad.

Saunders has brought in eight players since his arrival at the Keepmoat and with the side still languishing at the bottom of the championship he says he`s only just begun. Speaking on Sky Sports, Saunders said, 'I'm not in the middle of it, I've hardly got started yet and there's a lot of work to be done.
I've got to try to change the mentality around and the squad around. But we will get the team winning eventually.
It's just gelling everything together. It takes a bit of time for everything to run smoothly. I'd like to pick the same team every week. If you get beaten, the same group of players then react the following week and lift themselves off the floor. At the minute, I'm searching for the right formula. I'm trying to get the right team on the pitch.'

All eight players that Saunders has so far brought in have Premier League experience.

The latest player to be linked with a move to the Keepmoat is former Senegal international defender Lamine Diatta.

Diatta is a free agent after being released by Tunisian side Étoile Sportive du Sahel.

The 36 year old had a brief spell in England with Newcastle United in 2008 but he has spent most of his career playing in the French top flight.
