DRFC Sharp wins monthly award

Doncaster Rovers striker Billy Sharp has been named the npower championship player of the month for November.

The striker netted four times in five games for the struggling championship club.

It proved an emotional month for Sharp who had the tragic loss of his two-day-old baby son, luey at the end of October.

Sharp told manager Dean Saunders that he wanted to be included in the first game of the month against Middlesbrough, just three days after his death.

He marked the occasion with a superb goal to open the scoring.

The following game he scored at Ipswich has Rovers earned a rare win.

Sharp finished the month with two goals at Millwall, a game Rovers eventually lost 3-2.
