DRFC Stock - We deserved something

Doncaster Rovers midfielder Brian Stock says the side were disappointed to come away from Birmingham City empty handed and felt they deserved something.

Rovers let the lead slip inside the final thirty minutes, conceding the winner with just two minutes of normal time remaining and Stock was disappointed, feeling they could have got something from the game.

Rovers undid their own hard work when they conceded a sloppy equaliser. Goalkeeper Carl Ikeme played a poor ball out to Herita Ilunga, who lost out to Birmingham midfielder Chris Burke and he played in Marlon King for an easy finish.

Speaking on the official website, Stock said, "We are all disappointed.
"I thought we could have got something out of the game, we defended well throughout the game, maybe at times we sat too deep inviting pressure but we coped well with it.
"The goal brought them back into the game-but I think we deserved to get something."

After looking much more solid in defence against Southampton last weekend, once again individual errors in defence have cost Rovers.

Rovers came under intense pressure in the final twenty minutes and they looked like they were going to hold on to a point until King scored his second of the afternoon with just two minutes remaining.
