DRFC Rovers duo in team of the week

Doncaster Rovers duo Sam Hird and Billy Sharp have been included in the championship team of the week for their performances against Leicester City at the weekend.

Rovers came from behind at half time to beat Leicester with two goals in two minutes from Billy Sharp.

It is the second time in three weeks that Sharp has been included in the team of the week.

Hird is enjoying his best run in the side since Dean Saunders became manager at the end of September.

The defender has played the last five games, helping the side keep two clean sheets.

The team of the week is chosen by the Press Association for the top eleven performing players for their positions in the weekend games.

I expected Sharp to be in as he is hot property and a big talking point at the moment but really good to see Hird get some recognition as well.
