DRFC Burnley v Doncaster Form Guide

Vital Doncaster looks at the form of both Burnley and Doncaster Rovers ahead of the game at Turf Moor on Boxing Day.

Burnley

Burnley are in good form at the moment having won four of their last five games.

Last time out they won 1-0 at Brighton and Hove Albion after the hosts had been reduced to nine men inside fifteen minutes.

In their last home game, they were beaten 1-0 by Portsmouth and they have won just one of their last four home games.

So far this season at home they have won three, drawn three and lost five.

Jay Rodriguez is the leading goalscorer for Burnley so far this season having netted eleven goals in all competitions.

Only four sides in the championship have scored more goals at home than Burnley so far this season.

Burnley are currently eleventh in the championship table with 30 points from 22 games.

Doncaster
Rovers enjoyed their second win in three games when they defeated Leicester City 2-1 at the Keepmoat last Saturday.

In their last away game, they let a one goal lead slip inside the final half hour in a 2-1 defeat at Birmingham City.

Despite their poor away form, they have only failed to score once in their last seven away games.

They have conceded 24 goals away from home so far this season with only Ipswich Town having conceded more on their travels.

Billy Sharp is the leading goalscorer for Rovers this season having netted nine times in just fifteen appearances including five in his last four games.

Burnley seem to be a better side away than at home. If we can win this game it will really give us a massive boost if it moves us out of the bottom three.

Been a funny side Burnley this season. Done well against them since returning to the championship.
