DRFC Trio agree to sign for Rovers

Doncaster Rovers have agreed terms with trio Habib Bamogo, Mamadou Bagayoko and Damien Plessis.

The trio who have all been training with Doncaster this week and the Doncaster Free Press report that they have agreed terms to sign for the club when the transfer window reopens in January.

All three have experience at the highest level and have been plying their trade in Greece this season.

Bamogo is vastly experienced, playing at the top level in France with Montpellier, Nantes, Marseille and Nice during his career as well as a short spell with Spanish side Celta Vigo.

Bagayoko has spent the majority of his career playing in France but is currently playing in Greece with PAS Giannina .

Plessis signed for Liverpool for top French side Lyon as a teenager.

The 23 year old struggled to break into the Liverpool side and signed for Greek side Panathinaikos in 2010.

The trio look set to start a busy month in the transfer window for Doncaster Rovers boss Dean Saunders.

Saunders has already brought in eight players to the club since joining towards the end of September and is working alongside top football agent Willie McKay in bringing experienced players into the Keepmoat.

McKay is working for Rovers as a consultant and helping players who are currently out of the limelight at their current clubs.

The loans and short-term deals are putting the players back in the shop window, which could ultimately end in a move to a Premier League club.

Not heard much about any of them but they all look like they have good pedigree.

Bringing in two more strikers just makes me worry that Rovers are preparing for life without sharp.
