DRFC Diouf wanting to make fans dreams come true

Doncaster Rovers striker El Hadji Diouf says he wants to make Rovers fans dreams come true after agreeing to stay with the club until the end of the 2012/13 season.

Diouf signed for Rovers on a short-term deal at the end of October and he was out of contract in January.

Despite interest from a number of clubs, including big spending Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala and top MLS side LA Galaxy,Diouf has opted to extend his stay at the Keepmoat and he is now looking to help Rovers into the Premier League despite them currently occupying a place in the relegation zone.

Speaking on the official website, Diouf said, "It`s a good challenge for me and we`re starting to build something big and strong. I want to help Doncaster out of the relegation zone and heading for the top ten."

The former African player of the year believes Rovers are ambitious and he is now looking forward to making Rovers fans dreams come true.

"We`ve got ambition here and it is a move that works for me. Everyone`s talking about us now, even people in France! Even people in Senegal, Dubai and South Africa have talked to me about Doncaster Rovers. It`s time to make the fans dreams come true," continued Diouf.

Diouf is one of eight players that have been signed by manager Dean Saunders since his arrival at the Keepmoat towards the end of September.

Every player that has been signed so far by Saunders comes with either Premier League or international experience.

Rovers have also been reported today to have agreed terms with trio Habib Bamogo, Mamadou Bagayoko and Damien Plessis to sign in January.

I do have to keep pinching myself with all these players arriving and they are now starting to extend their stays when we all thought they would be gone in January.
