DRFC Burnley v Doncaster Team News

Doncaster Rovers boss Dean Saunders is hoping to welcome back El Hadji Diouf and Pascal Chimbonda from injury for the trip to Burnley on Boxing Day.

Diouf has been missing since the end of November with a hamstring injury whilst Chimbonda has been sidelined with a hip injury since the beginning of November.

Lamine Diatta is still waiting to make his debut after signing earlier this month.

Herold Goulon is a doubt with the hamstring injury, which kept him out of last week`s win over Leicester City.

Rovers will have to do without on loan Marc Antoine Fortune after his parent club West Brom at the start of the week recalled him.

They still have a number of players on the sidelines including Carl Ikeme, Neil Sullivan, James Chambers, Tommy Spurr, Shelton Martis, Richard Naylor, Martin Woods, Chris Brown and John Oster.

Burnley will once again be without goalkeeper Brian Jensen and striker Danny Ings through injury.

Great to have Diouf and Chimbonda back in contention. They might struggle to get in after recent results. Diouf will probably replace Fortune.

Just how big is the squad now? Despite so many injuries Rovers have players competing for places.
