DRFC Saunders hoping to sort out new deals

Doncaster Rovers boss Dean Saunders is hoping to keep hold of Pascal Chimbonda, Herita Ilunga and Habib Beye with their current deals at the club due to run out in the near future.

The Rovers boss is hoping to sort out new deals for the three players who are either on short-term deals or on loan to the club.

Speaking in the Daily Star, Saunders said, "Chimbonda wants to sign and Ilunga wants to stay.
"I spoke to Pascal on Thursday and he wants to sign. He`s enjoying his football - and Habib Beye."

Chimbonda was Dean Saunders first signing for the club in September when he signed a short-term deal keeping him with the club until January.

The French international defender has made five appearances for the club, since his arrival but he has been ruled out with a hip injury since the Ipswich game at the start of October. He is hoping to return for today`s game with Burnley.

Ilunga joined on loan from West Ham at the start of October. He has made twelve appearances since his arrival but he is due to return to Upton Park after the Barnsley game next week.

Beye joined from Aston Villa towards the end of November. The defender joined Rovers on a 93-day loan deal, keeping him at the Keepmoat until February 21st.

He has played in all five of Rovers games since his arrival.

Rovers have a number of other players due to leave in January. On loan Herold Goulon is due to return to parent club Blackburn Rovers in January 21st.

Giles Barnes, Oscar Radford and Paul Keegan are all out of contract in January after signing short-term deals in the summer.

Deano was my favourite Villa player ever and I wish him great success managing your club. Good luck in 2012.
