DRFC Watford v Doncaster Rovers Form Guide

Vital Doncaster looks at the form of both Watford and Doncaster Rovers ahead of their clash at Vicarage Road on New Year`s Eve.

The two sides met just over a month ago at the Keepmoat with the game finishing goalless.

The Hornets are at home for the second time in six days. They held promotion chasing Cardiff City to a 1-1 draw on Boxing Day.

So far this season at home, Watford have won four, drawn four and lost four.

They are unbeaten in their last six at Vicarage Road, winning three and drawing three.

Their three draws have been the last three home games against Bristol City, Leeds United and Cardiff City.

They are unbeaten in seven games in total home and away.

Watford are currently in 18th place with 27 points from 23 games.

Recent home form:

Rovers come into the game on the back of a 3-0 Boxing Day defeat at Burnley.

So far this season on their travels, Rovers have won two and lost ten and have yet to draw away from home this season.

Their only away wins this season have come at Peterborough 2-1 and Ipswich 3-2.

Despite their poor away form, they have only failed to score once in their last eight away games.

They have conceded 27 goals away from home so far this season, the most by any side in the championship.

Rovers have not had two consecutive results since mid October.

Billy Sharp is the leading goalscorer for Rovers this season having netted nine times in just sixteen appearances including five in his last five games.

Rovers are currently in 23rd place with 19 points from 23 games.
