DRFC Southampton not interested in Sharp?

DRFC Southampton not interested in Sharp?

BBC Radio Solent have reported on their twitter page that Southampton are not interested in taking Billy Sharp to St Mary`s Stadium when the transfer window opens next week.

Rovers agreed a deal with Southampton in the summer for Sharp in a deal reported to be in the region of £3.25 million.

After negotiations with former boss Nigel Adkins, Sharp decided to stay at the Keepmoat.

A number of clubs have been reported to be chasing Sharp when the transfer window reopens, with Premier League Fulham and Wigan Athletic leading the chase.

Table toppers Southampton were reported to be ready once again to make an offer for Sharp but a source has told Radio Solent that the saints are no longer in the hunt for the striker. Something they have reported on their twitter feed @Solentsport.

Somebody will come in with an offer. Wouldn't be surprised to see him tempted by Stoke who are still in Europe.
