DRFC Doncaster v Barnsley Form Guide

Vital Doncaster looks at the form of both Doncaster Rovers and Barnsley going into their third games of the busy festive period.

The two sides only met at Oakwell six weeks ago with Barnsley winning 2-0.

Doncaster
Doncaster have failed to pick up a point so far over Christmas.

They have lost 3-0 at Burnley and 4-1 at Watford.

So far this season at home, Rovers have won three, drawn four and lost four.

They are unbeaten in their last three home games, drawing 0-0 with Watford, before beating promotion chasing Southampton 1-0 and then Leicester City 2-1.

Rovers are the lowest scorers in the championship at home this season having only scored eight times.

They have netted just once in the first half at home this season when Billy Sharp scored in the 14th minute against Middlesbrough.

The other seven goals have all come between the 58th and 68th minutes.

Rovers have slipped back to the bottom of the championship over Christmas and they have 19 points from 24 games.

Barnsley
Barnsley have won one and lost one over the Christmas period.

They were beaten 3-1 at home by Blackpool on Boxing Day before beating Leeds 4-1 at home on Saturday.

Last time out on their travels they were beaten 1-0 at West Ham.

So far this season on their travels they have won three, drawn four and lost four.

They have been involved in two high scoring games on their travels this season. They were beaten 5-3 at Cardiff City in October and won 4-3 at Peterborough United in November.

Barnsley are in 13th place with 33 points from 24 games.
