DRFC Billy too Sharp for Barnsley?

Doncaster Rovers return to the Keepmoat on Monday to face local neighbours Barnsley and they are desperate to secure the three points.

Rovers have lost both their away games over Christmas but have shown improvement in their home form, winning their last two.

With odds from bookmaker Coral, Rovers are 8/5 to start 2012 with a win.

Barnsley come into the game with one win and one defeat over Christmas at Oakwell.

Last time out Barnsley beat Leeds 4-1 at Oakwell and they are 13/8 to claim the three points.

If you fancy the points to be shared then it is 23/10 on a draw.

Billy Sharp reached double figures for the season at Watford on Saturday. There is bound to be a whole host of scouts from other teams monitoring him on Monday as the race to lure Sharp away from the Keepmoat hotting up.

Sharp has scored Rovers last four goals at the Keepmoat and he is 9/2 to open the scoring.

El Hadji Diouf has returned for Rovers over the festive period and he is 6/1 to open the scoring.

Craig Davies scored in the win over Leeds on Saturday for Barnsley and he is 5/1 to score the opener.

Ricardo Vaz Te came off the bench in the same game to score a hat trick and he is 6/1 to score first.

Let us hope he is still with us at 3pm today. With no game in the championship for two weeks after today this could be his last game for Rovers.
