DRFC Doncaster v Cardiff Head To Head

Vital Doncaster looks at the head-to-head record between Rovers and Cardiff at Belle Vue and the Keepmoat over the years.

The two sides have met on fourteen occasions with Rovers winning two, Cardiff four and eight draws.

The first meeting between the two sides came during the 1947/48 season when they shared the points in a 2-2 draw.

Rovers enjoyed their first of only two victories during the 1951/52 season when they won 1-0.

Cardiff enjoyed their first win in the 1957/58 season when they won 1-0.

Rovers lost for the first time last season in the last six meetings at home having drawn four and won one of the previous five.

They have met at the Keepmoat on three occasions since Rovers promotion to the championship.

Cardiff were Rovers first ever opponents at home in the championship in 2008.

Lewis Guy gave Rovers the lead before former Rovers loan striker Ross McCormack equalised for Cardiff with just two minutes remaining.

The following season, two early goals by Adam Lockwood and James Hayter secured a 2-0 win for Rovers.

Last season Cardiff left the Keepmoat with a 3-1 win. Chris Burke gave Cardiff a first half lead before James Coppinger equalised for Rovers with just twelve minutes remaining. The game looked to be heading for a draw until Jason Koumas scored twice in added time to win it for Cardiff.
