DRFC Doncaster v Cardiff Team News

Doncaster Rovers boss Dean Saunders will hope to include striker Billy Sharp in his squad for the game with Cardiff City on Saturday.

Rovers agreed a fee with Leicester City for Sharp last weekend but Sharp currently remains with the club and trained with the squad today.

Saunders will welcome Damien Plessis to his squad for the first time since signing at the start of the month.

Plessis signed on loan until the end of the season and he finally received international clearance this week.

Rovers welcomed back a number of players to the squad in last week`s defeat to Notts County.

Martin Woods, Shelton Martis, John Oster and El Hadji Diouf all returned from injury.

Tommy Spurr also returned to training this week after a lengthy lay off.

The injury list is at last showing signs of easing with James Chambers, Pascal Chimbonda, Chris Brown, George Friend and Neil Sullivan on the sidelines.

Cardiff could once again be without Rudy Gestede who was forced to miss the Carling Cup clash with Crystal Palace in midweek after picking up an ankle injury last weekend at West Brom.
