DRFC Bristol City v Doncaster Head To Head

Vital Doncaster looks at the head-to-head record between Bristol City and Doncaster Rovers at Ashton Gate through the years.

The two sides have met on 19 occasions at Bristol with the home side winning 13, Doncaster 2 and 4 draws.

Bristol City have scored 47 goals (2.47 per game) and Doncaster 19 (1 per game) in the 19 meetings between the two.

The first encounter took place in the 1901/02 season when Bristol City won 3-0.

Rovers have only ever kept one clean sheet at Ashton Gate during the 2005/06 season when it finished 0-0.

Rovers had to wait until the 1983/84 season for their first win. Goals from David Harle and Andy Kowalski helped Rovers to a 2-1 win on their way to promotion from Division Four. City also finishing the season in the promotion places.

Their only other win at Ashton Gate came during the 2009/10 season. Two goals apiece from Jay Emmanuel-Thomas and Billy Sharp helped Rovers to a 5-2 win, with the other goal coming courtesy of a Bradley Orr own goal.

The last time the two sides met last April a goal inside the final fifteen minutes from Nicky Maynard won the game 1-0 for City.
