Left back Gareth Roberts has been given a two match ban by the FA over an incident that happened when he was playing for Tranmere at Milton Keynes in April last season.
He will miss the Carling Cup tie against Rochdale and the league match away at Swansea.
Roberts was not cautioned or sent off in the Milton Keynes game. A two match banned is normally issues for foul and abusive language so he must have said something to a match official after the game.
