DRFC Bristol City v Doncaster Form Guide

Vital Doncaster looks at the form of both Bristol City and Doncaster Rovers going into the game at Ashton Gate on Saturday.

The game is a crucial six pointer at the foot of the championship table.

Bristol City
City come into the game on the back of a 2-0 defeat at Brighton and Hove Albion last Saturday.

They have now lost their last two games having been dumped out of the FA Cup by League Two side Crawley Town the previous week.

Last time out at home they beat Millwall 1-0 thanks to a goal deep into injury time by Nicky Maynard.

So far this season at home they have won three, drawn three and lost six.

They are the joint lowest scorers at home in the championship with ten goals, along with Doncaster.

Despite their lowly league position, they have completed the double over league leaders Southampton this season.

City are currently in 20th place with 27 points from 26 games.

Doncaster Rovers
Rovers were held to a goalless draw in their last championship game by Cardiff City last weekend at the Keepmoat.

They have taken four points from a possible six so far in 2012.

So far this season on their travels, they have won two, lost eleven and they are one of only two sides (Burnley being the other) yet to draw away from home this season.

Last time out on their travels, they were beaten 4-1 at Watford and they have conceded seven goals in their last two away games.

Rovers have lost their last five away games in a row since winning at Ipswich Town at the start of November.

Rovers have the worst defensive record away from home this season having conceded 31 goals in 13 games.

They are currently in 23rd place with 23 points from 26 games.

Recent away form: WLLLLL

A win would be lovely but it is certainly a game they cannot afford to lose.
