DRFC Coast now clear for Beye return

Aston Villa have confirmed the release of Habib Beye from the club leaving the coast clear for Doncaster Rovers to sign the defender.

Beye joined Rovers on loan towards the end of November and he has made nine appearances for the club.

His initial loan was due to end after the game at the Keepmoat with Reading on Saturday but he is currently serving a three-match suspension for his sending off at Bristol City recently.

It is his second ban since arriving at the club after picking up five yellow cards in his first seven appearances.

Radio Sheffield revealed yesterday that Rovers were closing in on a deal to bring Beye to the Keepmoat until the end of the season, with the option of a further year.

Beye will join El Hadji Diouf in committing himself to the club until the end of the season, after the former African player of the year signed a new deal with the club on Thursday.

The Villa fans seem happy he's gone. If he does join us till the end of the season, hopefully he plays enough games to make a difference.
