DRFC Crystal Palace v Doncaster Form Guide

Vital Doncaster looks at the form of both Crystal Palace and Doncaster Rovers ahead of the game at Selhurst Park at the weekend.

Palace

The Eagles battled to a point at Middlesbrough last Saturday in a 0-0 draw.

Last time out at home they drew 1-1 with Brighton and Hove Albion and have now gone three games without a win at home in the championship, losing 2-1 to Leicester and drawing 1-1 with Leeds in the other two.

They have gone five league games without a win since beating Millwall 1-0 at the Den on New Year`s Eve.

So far this season at home they have won four, drawn eight and lost two.

They have won just one of their last nine home games in the championship.

Their eight draws at home, along with Middlesbrough, is the most in the Football League.

There have been just 23 goals at Selhurst Park this season, with only the Keepmoat (22) seeing less although the average of 1.64 per game at Palace is the lowest average.

Only Birmingham (6) have conceded less at home than Palace (10) this season.

Palace are currently 14th in the championship with 39 points from 29 games.

Rovers
Rovers come into the game having had the previous weekend off with their game with Reading at the Keepmoat falling foul of the weather.

Last time out away from home they secured their first draw of the season when they held play off chasing Hull City to a 0-0 draw.

It was also the first time this season that they had managed a clean sheet on their travels.

The draw at Hull brought to an end a run of six consecutive defeats on their travels.

So far this season on their travels, they have won two, drawn one and lost twelve.

Only Ipswich Town (34) have conceded more goals on their travels than Rovers (33) this season.

Only Nottingham Forest (22) have scored less goals than Rovers (23) this season, home and away.

Rovers are currently in 22nd place with 24 points from 28 games.

We need to get more points away from home. The Hull game was a good start.

Palace do seem to like a draw. I think their form is a bit misleading.
