DRFC Doncaster v Blackpool Head To Head

Vital Doncaster looks at the head-to-head record between Doncaster Rovers and Blackpool at Belle Vue and the Keepmoat over the years.

The two clubs have met on twenty occasions at Doncaster with the home side winning eight, Blackpool five and seven have been drawn, including the last three times they have met.

The first ever meeting between the two sides took place during the 1901/02 season when Doncaster won 4-3.

Blackpool had to wait until the 1935/36 season when they won 3-0.

The seasiders enjoyed their best ever win at Belle Vue the season after when they won 4-0.

Rovers best win came during the 2005/06 season when they won an FA Cup clash 4-1.

Blackpool have visited the Keepmoat on two occasions. The first one during the 2008/09 season was a dour 0-0 draw.

When the two sides met the following season they once again they shared the points but this time it was a six goal thriller.

Martin Woods gave Rovers an early lead before Ian Evatt equalised.

Rovers went ahead for a second time in the opening moments of the second half when Billy Sharp scored.

On loan, Jay Emmanuel-Thomas equalised for Blackpool, a player who was to end the season on loan at Doncaster.

Ben Burgess then fired Blackpool ahead for a first time before James Hayter equalised for Rovers in the final minute of the game.
