DRFC Dumbuya gutted to miss international chance

Doncaster Rovers defender Mustapha Dumbuya says he is gutted to miss out on the chance to make his international debut after a mix up by his national side Sierra Leone.

Leone had called up Dumbuya for the first time recently for their international against Sao Tome on Wednesday night but he has been forced to miss the trip after they sent his flight tickets to Crystal Palace.

Dumbuya had been on loan at Palace until recently and by the time the mix up had been realised it left Dumbuya no time to make the trip.

Speaking on the official website , Dumbuya said, "Obviously I am a bit gutted to miss out but the next qualifier is in June and I hope to be called up again.

The 24 year old has recently returned to the Keepmoat after spending a month on loan at fellow championship side Palace where he made 3 appearances.

Dumbuya has made just eight appearances for Rovers this season and only one since the arrival of manager Dean Saunders towards the end of September.

How daft. I cannot believe in this day and age something like this could happen.
