DRFC Coppinger earns Rovers crucial point

James Coppinger scored his first goal of the season to earn Doncaster Rovers a crucial point at West Ham in their fight against relegation.

Kevin Nolan had fired West Ham into the lead inside ten minutes when he was on hand to finish from very close range following a ball into the middle by Ricardo Vaz Te..

Coppinger equalised for Rovers with less than twenty minutes remaining when he poked home from close range after Simon Gillett put the ball across goal.

El Hadji Diouf had a great chance for Rovers late on when Pascal Chimbonda found him in the middle but Robert Green made a great save to deny Diouf.

Despite the point, Rovers are now four points from safety after Nottingham Forest beat Millwall to ease their relegation worries.

A great result and must now surely go into the game with Reading full of confidence despite how well they are playing. Shame about Forest
