DRFC Former keeper back in South Yorkshire

Former Doncaster Rovers loan goalkeeper David Button is back in South Yorkshire having signed for fellow championship side Barnsley on an emergency loan.

Button spent two months on loan at the Keepmoat at the start of 2012 and he made his debut in the 2-0 home win over Barnsley on January 2nd.

The 23 year old made eight appearances for Rovers, his last coming in the 1-1 home draw with Peterborough United on February 25th.

He managed three clean sheets during his two months with the club and helped the side to six points from seven championship games.

Button joins Barnsley on an emergency loan until April 15th from Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur subject to clearance.

He did well for Rovers. He looks a good keeper for the future but we had to get Ikeme back in.
