DRFC Southampton v Doncaster Head To Head

Vital Doncaster looks at the head-to-head record between Southampton and Doncaster Rovers on the south coast over the years.

The two clubs have only ever met on eight occasions at Southampton with Southampton winning four, Doncaster one and there have been three draws.

Southampton won the first three meetings between the sides starting with the first game back in the 1935/36 season when they won 1-0.

Doncaster are unbeaten on their last three visits to Southampton spanning almost 60 years.

The meeting at St Mary`s Stadium during the 2008/09 season was their first meeting for fifty years and their first meeting at the stadium.

Doncaster secured their only ever win at Southampton thanks to second half goals from James Coppinger and Martin Woods. Southampton scored a late consolation but couldn`t stop Doncaster winning 2-1.
