DRFC Middlesbrough v Doncaster Head to Head

Vital Doncaster looks at the head-to-head record between Doncaster and Middlesbrough on Teesside over the years.

The two clubs have met on ten occasions with Boro winning nine and Doncaster one.

The first time the two sides met was during the 1901/02 season when Boro won a Second Division clash 6-0.

It wasn`t until the 1951/52 season that the two sides met again, when Doncaster enjoyed their one and only win at Middlesbrough.

Doncaster came away from Ayresome Park with a 4-1 victory in the FA Cup.

Middlesbrough have scored thirty goals in the ten meetings at an average of three a game whilst Doncaster have scored just eight at less than a goal a game.

Doncaster have failed to score on their last six visits to Middlesbrough including on their two visits to the Riverside.

Middlesbrough won 2-0 thanks to goals in each half from Tuncay and Leroy Lita in the 2009/10 season.

Two sides met on the final day of the season last season and Boro won 3-0 thanks to goals from Barry robson, Leroy Lita and Andrew Reach.
