DRFC Saunders - Diouf not expected to stay

Doncaster Rovers manager Dean Saunders says El Hadji Diouf is likely to leave this summer.

The 31 year old signed an eighteen-month contract with Rovers at the turn of the year but clauses in his contract mean he is free to leave following their relegation from the championship.

Speaking after the final game of the season, Saunders said, 'He's a class player, not easy to manage off the pitch, but I only had him for five months and the clauses in his contract are for the Championship, so I think he'll probably be going to another club, whether it's Leeds or somewhere else.'

The former African footballer of the year is already being linked with a move to Yorkshire neighbours Leeds United during the summer.

I couldn't see him turning out on a cold Tuesday night in Stevenage in front of 3,000.
