DRFC Saunders - No truth in transfer rumours

Doncaster Rovers manager Dean Saunders has denied reports linking him with three players.

Reports recently have suggested that Saunders was chasing Leeds United striker Ramon Nunez, Reading midfielder Brian Howard and Tranmere Rovers defender David Buchanan.

Saunders says there is no truth in the rumours. Speaking on the official website, Saunders said, "There is no truth in an of those reports, but it is that time of year I suppose."

The Rovers boss is still to announce his retained and released list following their relegation from the championship last month.

Saunders is expected to have to reduce severely the wage bill, as Rovers get ready for life back in League One.
