DRFC O'Driscoll favourite for Crawley job

DRFC O'Driscoll favourite for Crawley job

Former Doncaster Rovers manager Sean O`Driscoll is reported to be in line for the vacant manager`s position at Crawley Town.

Sky Sports report that O`Driscoll is to take over from Steve Evans who left to manage Rotherham United in April despite Crawley being on the verge of promotion from League Two.

Crawley secured promotion to League One on the final day of the season with a win at Accrington Stanley under temporary boss Craig Brewster.

The red devils, who have enjoyed back-to-back promotions, are now ready to move for O`Driscoll who was sacked by Rovers in September.

O`Driscoll was sacked after five years with Rovers having led them from League One to the championship and the club also enjoyed winning their first domestic trophy during his time with Rovers when they lifted the Johnstone`s Paint Trophy in his first season at the club.

Since his departure from Rovers, he has been working at Nottingham Forest as part of manager Steve Cotterill`s coaching staff but he has now come to the end of his contract at the City Ground.

A move to the Broadfield Stadium would see him return to the Keepmoat next season for the first time, with the two clubs both lining up in League One next season.
