DRFC Rovers seeded in Capital One League Cup

Doncaster Rovers are amongst the seeded clubs when the draw for the Capital One League Cup is announced on Thursday.

The draw as been split into two sections, (north and south) and Rovers are one of sixteen teams seeded in the draw.

Rovers could face York City who won have recently their place back in the Football League after winning The Blue Square Conference play-off final.

York were relegated from the Football League on their last visit to Rovers in April 2004.

Rovers could also face a trip to a number of new grounds with Chesterfield, Fleetwood Town, Morecambe, Rotherham United and Shrewsbury Town amongst the un-seeded teams.

Last season, Rovers beat Tranmere in the first round winning 3-0 at the Keepmoat Stadium .

The draw will be announced on Thursday Morning, with the first round ties taking place the week before the Football League season kicks off on August 18th.

The new Football League fixtures will follow hot on the heels of the Capital One League cup draw when they are announced on Monday June 18th at 9.00am

Barnsley, Blackpool, Burnley, Carlisle, Derby, Doncaster Rovers, Hartlepool, Huddersfield, Hull City, Leeds United, Middlesbrough, Nottingham Forest, Notts County, Sheffield United, Sheffield Wednesday, Tranmere Rovers.

Un-seeded Clubs
Accrington Stanley, Bradford, Burton, Bury, Chesterfield, Crewe, Fleetwood, Morecambe, Oldham, Port Vale, Preston, Rochdale, Rotherham, Scunthorpe, Shrewsbury, York.
