DRFC Hayter to join Glovers

DRFC Hayter to join Glovers

Out of contract Doncaster Rovers striker James Hayter will join Yeovil Town on July 1st.

Hayter is out of contract at the Keepmoat after five years with the club after joining from Bournemouth in the summer of 2007 in a deal worth around £200,000.

The 32 year old made 178 appearances for Rovers, scoring 39 goals and Rovers fans will forever remember him for his 2008 play-off final winning goal when Rovers beat Leeds United 1-0 at Wembley to book their place in the championship for the first time in fifty years.

Hayter will join the League One side on a two-year deal and he will get an early chance to line up against Rovers when they travel to Huish Park on September 1st.

He will always be remembered by Rovers fans. He always worked hard for the side and I wish him good luck.
