DRFC Two more on trial at Rovers

Doncaster Rovers are giving trials to two more players as the build-up to the new 2012/13 season.

Young Australian goalkeeper Ben McNamara is training with the club and he played the first 63 minutes of the 3-3 draw with Bradford Park Avenue on Saturday.

The 23 year old is in this country having trials with a number of clubs and he has already had a short spell with AFC Wimbledon.

McNamara has been playing with Bonnyrigg White Eagles who play in the New South Wales Premier Division.

Striker Karl Hawley is better known to Rovers fans. The 30 year old is looking for his tenth club following his release from Notts County at the end of last season.

Hawley has spent the last three seasons with County but struggled to get in the side following the arrival of Keith Curle in the New Year and he had a short spell with Crawley Town on loan.

His best spell of his career was with Carlisle United between 2004 and 2007 where he scored 51 goals in 137 appearances.

The two players join Amari Morgan-Smith on trial at the club after Rovers boss Dean Saunders decided to allow youngster Greg McDermott to leave.
