DRFC Clubs received offers for players

Doncaster Rovers boss Dean Saunders says there have been two or three offers from clubs for members of his first team squad.

Saunders is still looking to reduce the wage budget after relegation from the championship last season and he says, whilst they have received bids they want a more money for them before agreeing to a deal.

Speaking in the South Yorkshire Times, Saunders said, "We`ve got some offers in for two or three of our players. We haven`t accepted them yet; we are trying to get a bit more money.

"I`ve got replacements lined up. We need people who want to fight and people who want to battle."

Rovers have confirmed today that they have accepted a bid from Derby County for defender James O`Connor, with the 27 year old currently in the midlands undergoing a medical.

Midfielders Brian Stock and James Coppinger are still on the radar of a number of other clubs and could be on their way out of the Keepmoat before the start of the season.

Rovers have already sold George Friend to Middlesbrough this week whilst defender Rob Jones has signed for the club from Sheffield Wednesday.

Who will be next then, Stock or Coppinger? If both these leave then we have some serious rebuilding to do and we are running out of time.
