DRFC Duo training with Rovers

Billy Paynter and James Harper are training with Doncaster Rovers as boss Dean Saunders looks to bolster his squad ahead of the new season.

Striker Paynter is on the transfer list at Leeds United and he has spent the first part of this week training with Blackpool.

Blackpool have decided that Paynter does not fit into their plans at this time and Rovers have moved in, with the 28 year old training with the squad at Cantley Park today.

Winger Harper is a free agent after being released by Hull City at the end of last season.

Saunders has already spoken with Harper earlier this summer and he is now going to spend the next week training with the club as he looks for a new club.

Both could feature for Rovers when they entertain Barnsley in their next pre-season friendly at the Keepmoat on Saturday.

I wouldn't mind either of them. I just hope Harper won't be a replacement for Kyle Bennett

Both would be good acquisitions.
