DRFC Rovers beaten at Trinity

A makeshift Doncaster Rovers side were beaten 4-0 in their last pre-season game at Gainsborough Trinity.

Rovers fielded six trialists in the game as well as Paul Keegan and Robbie Blake with any first team experience.

Gainsborough led 2-0 at half time thanks to strikes from Paquette and Connor before two goals from Clarke rounded off the scoring in the second half.

Rovers have now finished their pre-season programme and prepare for their first game of the season when they entertain York City in the League Cup first round on Saturday.

Starting XI:
Jonathan Maxted, Evan Finnegan, Eddie Nolan, Trialist, Callum Bennett, Paul Keegan, Jack McCormick, James Harper, Robbie Blake, Carl Hawley, Amari Morgan-Smith.

Subs:
Aaron Busby, Harry Middleton, Jordan Ball, Chris Whincup.
