DRFC Capital One League Cup draw details
Doncaster Rovers are expected to be unseeded when the draw for the second round of the Capital One League Cup is made on Wednesday lunchtime.
Rovers would need eleven of the thirteen championship clubs in action this evening to lose to move into the seeded clubs section of the draw.
The second round sees 15 Premier League clubs entering the competition, with those involved in European competitions not involved. Those clubs will enter the competition in the third round.
There are currently eighteen ties outstanding from the first round, with them all taking place this evening.
The unseeded clubs are currently those that finished in 14th place (Leeds) and below in the championship last season..
There are thirteen championship sides from last season, in action this evening. In the unlikely event that at least eleven were to lose, then Rovers would just sneak into the seeded clubs position.
Rovers progressed to the second round after beating York City on penalties at the weekend after the game finished 1-1 after extra time.
The draw will be made live on Sky Sports News around 12.30pm on Wednesday lunchtime.
Second round ties will take place week commencing Monday August 27th.
