DRFC Dumbuya completes Portsmouth move

Former Doncaster Rovers defender Mustapha Dumbuya has signed for Portsmouth on a one-month deal.

Dumbuya, who was released by Rovers at the end of last season, has been training with Portsmouth since the start of pre-season.

The cash stricken south coast club have been unable to sign players due to the club being in administration but following permission from administrator Trevor Birch to sign players, Dumbuya has signed on an initial one-month deal.

On a busy day for Michael Appleton, the Portsmouth boss as brought in ten players on one-month deals.

Portsmouth have also been given permission to start life in League One alongside Rovers by the Football League with the ten point deduction for being in administration put on hold until the club exits administration.

Rovers will play Portsmouth for the first time this season on November 17th at Fratton Park with the return at the Keepmoat on March 16th.
