Penney Speaks Out

Penney Speaks Out

Dave Penney has commented about his departure on the League Managers Association website.

The Rovers legend told the LMA:

"Further to the press release issued by the club I would confirm that I have parted company with Doncaster Rovers, by mutual consent.

It was agreed that this was the right time for us to separate and for both parties to move on.

I have had eight fantastic years at Doncaster and I believe that the club has made significant progression during this time.

I would like to acknowledge the support given to me by the supporters and players, and I wish them every success in the future."

Had he lost the dressing room? If so you must consider Doncaster Rovers first and foremost. I believe that he as be a credit to Docaster Rovers during his 7/8 years with us. I wish him the very best of Luck

I hope it doesn't turn into a bitter falling out with the club, Penney will always be remembered as one of the best managers we have ever had and I hope he will always be welcomed back at the club in the future.
