'If It's Football, It's Vital'

King Kev For The Rovers

Since the departure of Dave Penney the media and fans have hit a frenzy as John Ryan has announced is number 1 target for the vancant position is Kevin Keegan. Ryan has been quoted as saying 'Kevin Keegan is the man I want as manager. It's the sort of challenge that would appeal to him.' and also Keegan has been quoted in the past to saying it was a dream to manage his boy-hood club.
However this dream could become stark reality for the one time Liverpool legend. He previously has had managerial stints with Man City,Newcastle,Fulham and of course England. In his managerial style he brings a creative all-out attack which would certainly entertain the Belle Vue faithful.
However it is not just a one-horse race has the likes of Glyn Snodin currently first team coach at Southampton,Tony Yeboah, Danny Wilson, Joe Kinnear and even Peter Reid have been linked with the job. So the decision is down to John Ryan.

Keegan is a Doncaster man and with the ambition of the chairman and the new ground on the horizon he would be better equipped at Doncaster than a lot of championship sides. He would also bring attacking football to the club and as always managed to get every club side he's been in charge of promoted.

I'm sure he would have the enthusiasm but would also prefer to be on the Golf Course! But he really hasn't exactly doen that great in management, great as he was as a player.
