Vital Doncaster Rovers looks at the head to head record against Hull City ahead of the League Cup tie at the Keepmoat on Tuesday night.

Tuesday will be the twenty-fourth meeting between the two at Doncaster with the home side enjoying twelve wins, Hull five and six have been drawn.

Rovers are unbeaten in the last six competitive meetings .

The first ever meeting between the two came during the 1930/31 season when Hull left Belle Vue with the points in a 2-0 win.

Rovers enjoyed their first win the following season when they won 2-1.

Rovers best ever victory came during the 1935/36 season when they put six past Hull in a 6-1 win.

Hull enjoyed their best win during the 1950/51 season when they won 4-2.

They have met once previously in the competition when Rovers reached the fifth round in the 1975/76 season. Rovers won 2-1 at Belle Vue in the fourth round.

When the sides met last season, the points were shared in a 1-1 draw. Martyn Waghorn gave the visitors a first half lead before Simon Gillett equalised for Rovers just short of the hour mark.

The two clubs met just under a month ago in a pre-season friendly. Rob Jones put through his own goal to give Hull the lead early in the game. Two goals from Martin Woods and one from trialist Amari Morgan-Smith earned Rovers a 3-1 win.

Hull were the visitors to Belle Vue when the venue hosted it`s highest ever attendance. 37,149 crammed into the old ground during the 1948/49 season when the sides shared a goalless draw.

I just can't see us keeping our run going on Tuesday. To be honest with the size of our squad we could do with getting out of the competition.
